If you're feeling burnt out and energy depletion and searching for how to manage the stress in your life, the first thing to consider is answering the question of what is it that you are afraid of. Stress is generally enduced by fear. Rather it be fear of not getting something completed "in time," or fear of multiple "what if" scenarios in life. Consider asking what would be the worst thing that could happen if it doesn't go how you really want it to or what is the worst thing that could happen in all the what if scenarios you can imagine. It could just be that you find that the worst case scenario really isn't so bad or as bad as you initially thought it may be, of course depending on the situation or topic at hand. The body and nervous system generally cannot distinguish from reality and thoughts, so when you have fearful thoughts, the body and nervous system reacts reacts to the thoughts much the same way as the body reacts to fantasizing because of the emotions felt from the thoughts. The emotions are generally derived from thoughts unless there is physical touch involved. It is actually even more helpful to stop thinking at all and go into a more present state of being. The more in the now you are, the less that anything in the future can create stress for you. We aren't promised a tomorrow. All we really have is this present moment. Everything that happens in life, happens in the now. Anything that happened yesterday can't be changed so just let it go. Anything that may happen tomorrow may not even happen for the only moment we are promised with is our very present moment. Managing and controlling self talk and thoughts can help control the emotional body and be a powerful stress management technique and it is something I can help you with in my life coaching services.
